Mothers Intuition

Have you ever had an instinct? An instinct that begins as a gnawing...Then grows into a raging burn; a burning instinct that something is wrong...

Your baby continues to get sick from the very foods he is supposed to thrive on. I did. I am a mom of a little boy just diagnosed with FPIES.

And that burning feeling now? Extinguished. My instincts? Stronger than ever. Guiding me, with my faith, as we navigate through the murky waters of our new world created by something called FPIES.

"Faith is not about everything turning out OK; Faith is about being OK no matter how things turn out."

My favorite show...

Comes from the 14foot window in my living room.  Little Man likes to watch this "channel" too.   These days of anemia- he tires easily and I think he gets cold easily too, so with the cooler fall weather he isn't wanting to play outside as much.  But he loves to watch the fun from our family room window.

We are proceeding to plums tomorrow.   I cooked them down, and then pureed them.  Typically, little man doesn't like puree foods- he doesn't like to be spoon fed.  He has an aversion to the spoon- too many months of us trying to figure out what foods was causing his symptoms, why he wasn't eating them, why he was spitting up after eating, throwing up in his sleep, why he just didn't want to eat but seemed so hungry.   He does however enjoy feeding himself.  So, I am attempting to make Fruit Leather to see if he would like this as a snack, to add to his millet puffs that he loves so much.

Tomorrow we start our plum trial.
