Mothers Intuition

Have you ever had an instinct? An instinct that begins as a gnawing...Then grows into a raging burn; a burning instinct that something is wrong...

Your baby continues to get sick from the very foods he is supposed to thrive on. I did. I am a mom of a little boy just diagnosed with FPIES.

And that burning feeling now? Extinguished. My instincts? Stronger than ever. Guiding me, with my faith, as we navigate through the murky waters of our new world created by something called FPIES.

"Faith is not about everything turning out OK; Faith is about being OK no matter how things turn out."

  1. I love hearing what other kids can eat with the FPIES. With the cabbage, you could try to expand trials to include close relatives like cauliflower, broccoli, mustard and canola. But have to watch as they can be high in sulphur levels and some people have trouble digesting that.

  2. Hi. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing your hemp formula recipe? It's been a journey with my son. I breast fed for 6 months and couldn't get his symptoms to improve with a TED. We've tried Elecare, making our own goats milk formula, and soy, none of which worked out well. He is loving the hemp milk and doing well but I just wanted to compare notes on how you are making your formula if that is possible. My email is pinkfrogs@aol.com. Thank you so much!

  3. Hello,

I would love your hemp milk formula recipe if you don't mind sharing. Like the above poster, I would like to compare to what I'm using already. Mine is lacking because I am unable to find a dairy, soy and corn free liquid infants vitamin. My email is knkiesgen7@yahoo.com

    Thank you!

  6. I would be so grateful if you would be willing to share your hemp formula recipe with me! My 7 month old son is allergic to dairy, soy, and eggs. He was on raw goats milk, but I think thats whats causing his skin issues. He loves the taste of hemp milk and I've found one without the caarageenan in it. I just want to make his hemp milk more nutritionally sound. My email is stevenlisa05@yahoo.com

  7. I would love the recipe for the hemp milk formula, as we have unsuccesfully tried all forumlas on the market. My 4 month old has FPIES to dairy, soy, rice and corn so far. I have attempted a goat milk formula and that was a fail. My email is momanyi3@gmail.com

  8. Thank you for sharing your story! I was curious what proteins besides pork and hemp (if you have any others) that your done is able to tolerate. Unfortunately hemp is a trigger for us and we haven't tried any animal proteins. Thanks!
